Daisy wants to chase anything with wheels. She is very protective of me. I am injured and need to walk to recover. I want to take her - but she pulls and that is not good for me. I have spent thousands on training for me & we still have issues. She steals and won't give it back without gettig "paid" with peanut butter cookies. She has been excellent therapy during my recovery and I want to give her her best life and she is not living it. She spends way too much time on a leash when kids are around because I don't trust her. I don't have people over to my house because she won't let them move once they get past the door. If she knows you - she LOVES you, if she doesn't know you.....it takes four meetings for her to decide you are okay. Four very unpleasant meetings. The first 9 months of her life her bags were packed. She ate my mattress, all of my shoes (one pair 3 times), pulled books from my bookshelf and shredded them, snacked on my tupperware. We made it through....as she gets older she is becoming scared of unusual sounds and just yesterday lept into my lap because she heard something. She has always been extremely mischievious (running through the house with the end of the toilet paper in her mouth etc) but fearful is new. I really want to take her on my long therapy walks and turn our failures into successes. The welcome mat at our usual haunts is being removed because of her incessant barking & urinating on their floor and behaving like a vulture where there is food. Her world is getting smaller when it should be hers to discover. She is a great girl and everyone should meet her............
Please help.
