This is my white shepardXamerican bulldog named Jimmi. He is 4 years old and i dont know how to handle him sometimes. He:
1) barks and charges at the door
2) has HORRIBLE leash aggresion at other dogs
3) resourse protective
4) pulls on his leash like mad
5) is OVERLY protective of my family
6) humps other dogs like crazy
7) he begs at every meal
8) eats out of the little box
9) has seperation anxiety
Despite all these habits i will never give up on him. i dont know if any of these issues contribute to him being abused as a puppy. the people who had him before i did use to treat him like dirt. they would leave him in a room for days at a time with no food or water and get mad when he made messes. they would hit him and throw him into walls. tie him to the dresser so he couldnt get to anything. and yell at him all the time. its awful to know your dog has gone through something as horrible as that. but all i can do now is try to give him a better life. he is a really sweet dog, he just needs some work.
alison.

Kudos for not giving up! When we first adopted our parson russell he had such severe anxiety issues I wondered if he would ever be a normal dog! He is now 3yrs. and although he still lapses in to anxiety attacks he is generally a well behaved and adjusted normal dog! It all pays off in the long run!
